Christ Is Leading His Church

He is also the head [the life-source and leader] of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will occupy the first place [He will stand supreme and be preeminent] in everything.

Colossians 1:18 AMP

The Church is Christ’s Body. He is the Head of His Church.

When we are not submitted to the Lord, we are out of order.

The question for all of us to ask ourselves is: what spirit am I partnering with? The Holy Spirit? Or some other spirit?

One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit’s activity in our lives is agape love for other people. If we do not practice kindness and compassion towards others, something is amiss. God’s love is not transactional or reciprocal, it is freely given, expecting nothing in return.

Christ is leading His Church. He’s leading each of us individually. The Head communicates to every part of the Body. There’s no hierarchy. None is elevated above another. We are all loved equally by God. We are all necessary for the Body to be complete. The greatest among us is a servant of all.

Let’s love one another like Christ loves us. Anything less is falling short of God’s glorious standard.

Prayer Points

  • Ask God to expose and eliminate any false gods or idolatry in your life.
  • Surrender your life to the Lordship of Christ.
  • Express your gratitude to God and enjoy your walk with Him.

Father in Heaven, lead, guide, comfort and feed Your Church by Your Spirit. Amen.

We proclaim Him, warning and instructing everyone in all wisdom [that is, with comprehensive insight into the word and purposes of God], so that we may present every person complete in Christ [mature, fully trained, and perfect in Him—the Anointed].
