How do we remain in God?
We abide in His love.
When we love, we are doing what God does.
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NLT
God is transforming us into the mature expression of His love. As we grow in godliness, we grow in our capacity to love like Jesus.
“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.”

Prayer Points
- Ask God to fill you up until you overflow with His love, joy and peace.
- Ask God to remove the things that keep you from loving like Jesus.
- Thank God for His unfailing love.
Father in Heaven, fill Your People with Your Love. Fill us with Your Spirit. Let God’s People love like Jesus does. Let our love for one another show the world that we are disciples of Jesus. Amen.
