The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
2 Peter 3:9 NLT
The Lord wants everyone to repent.
Repent of what?
Repent of going their own way and not honoring God in everything they do.
Live your lives for God.
God the Father gave us the Lord Jesus Christ as an example, as the atoning sacrifice, and as the model of what it means to lay down your life as a surrendered soul. Compared to His model of what it means to live your life as a son who obeys his Father, how Christlike are we?
We should follow in His footsteps.
What is God calling you to do? What is He inviting you into that He is already doing? How can you partner with God with your “Yes and amen”?
God’s given you vision and passion and a burning desire to see change in your lifetime. Let me tell you what… God gives you those desires… Because they come from Him.
Trust Him. Lean into Him. He’s got the answers. He’s your Father in Heaven. He loves us all. So much so, that He gave us Jesus. Now, that’s a whole lotta love.
Redemptive love flows from a heart of grace.
Lord God in Heaven, I pray that we would all be filled with Your love. May the Holy Spirit fill our hearts with Your love, may we extend Your grace to everyone we meet in Jesus name we pray, amen.
Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God.
