Jesus Is King: It’s Time To Surrender

And Jesus Christ was revealed as God’s Son by his baptism in water and by shedding his blood on the cross — not by water only, but by water and blood. And the Spirit, who is truth, confirms it with his testimony.

So we have these three witnesses — the Spirit, the water, and the blood — and all three agree.

1 John 5:6-8 NLT

There are moments in Scripture where God doesn’t just invite reflection — He demands alignment. 1 John 5:6–8 is one of those moments.

This is not poetic filler.
This is a divine courtroom scene.

Heaven didn’t leave the identity of Jesus up to opinion, emotion, or religious tradition. God stacked three converging testimonies and said the same thing through each one:

This is My Son.
He is the Christ.
He is King.

God Didn’t Give a Vibe. He Gave Receipts.

John is confronting a deception that still operates today:
a Jesus who inspires but doesn’t rule.
a Jesus who comforts but doesn’t confront.
a Jesus who saves but doesn’t reign.

So God answered it with evidence:

The Water — Divine Commission

At Jesus’ baptism, heaven opened.
The Father spoke audibly.
The Spirit descended visibly.

God publicly endorsed Jesus before He ever performed a miracle.

This wasn’t branding. This was authenticating.

The Blood — Divine Redemption

At the cross, Jesus didn’t stop being the Son of God.
He proved it.

The same Jesus who was anointed in the water was obedient unto death.

There is no Gospel without the Cross.
There is no kingship without sacrifice.
There is no salvation without blood.

A Savior who won’t bleed is not a Savior at all.

The Spirit — Divine Confirmation

And now, the Spirit testifies.

Not in theory.
Not in theology alone.
But in living, breathing conviction.

I Am who I say I Am.

Our Faith Is in a Person, Not a Principle

This is where modern Christianity gets soft.

Our faith is not in:

  • a system
  • a denomination
  • a moral philosophy
  • a spiritual lifestyle brand

Our faith is in a Person.

And Heaven has already confirmed that this Person is Jesus the Christ.

Which means belief is no longer the finish line.
It’s the starting gate. The beginning of a whole new life.

Because He Is Who He Is, We Must Listen

If Jesus is who Heaven says He is, then neutrality is rebellion.

You don’t casually agree with a King.
You yield to a King.

You don’t just admire His words.
You submit to His voice.

You don’t negotiate obedience with the Son of God.
You align your life under His authority.

This is not legalism.
This is loyalty.

This is not performance.
This is surrender.

This is not religious striving.
This is covenant response.

We listen because we trust.
We obey because we belong.
We respond because we’re loved.

This Is A Decision Point

This is not a feel-good moment.
This is a line-in-the-sand moment.

Not just:  “Do I believe Jesus is the Christ?”

But:  “Will I recommit my life to Him as Lord and King?”

Because Savior-only Christianity is a distortion.

You cannot receive His blood and reject His authority. You cannot claim His promises and resist His Lordship. You cannot call Him Redeemer and refuse Him as Ruler.

What Recommitment Actually Means

To declare “Jesus is Lord and King” is to say:

  • My will is no longer the final authority.
  • My feelings are no longer my primary compass.
  • My life is no longer my private project.
  • My obedience is no longer optional.

It means:

I am done drifting.
I am done negotiating.
I am done keeping Jesus in the spiritual guest room of my life.

The King gets the whole house.

Walk with Him.

Not perfectly.
Not performatively.
Not fearfully.

But sincerely.
Relationally.
Daily.

A Call to Alignment

This is not about trying harder.
It’s about bowing lower.

It’s not about proving devotion.
It’s about realigning under rightful authority.

The Spirit is testifying right now — not just to who Jesus is, but to what He is asking of you.

Some of you feel it:

  • a tightening in your chest
  • a holy discomfort
  • a burning clarity
  • a quiet conviction

That’s not condemnation.
That’s an invitation.

God wants you in His family.

Heaven is calling for sons and daughters, not spectators.

Followers, not fans.
Ambassadors, not admirers.

A Recommitment Declaration

If your spirit says yes, don’t let this pass as another article you liked.

Let it become a covenant moment.

Jesus, You are who Heaven says You are.
You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
You were revealed in the water,
proven in the blood,
and You are still speaking by Your Spirit.

Today, I don’t just believe in You —
I return to You.

I recommit my life to You
as my Lord and my King.

Lead my heart.
Renew my mind.
Align my will.

I choose trust over control.
Obedience over fear.
Relationship over religion.

My life is not my own.
It belongs to You.

I am Yours.

Lead me Lord.

Amen.

Will you keep Jesus as an accessory…
or crown Him as King?

This is your decision point.
This is your return moment.
This is your realignment hour.

Jesus is not just worthy of belief.
He is worthy of your whole life.

For, at just the right time Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed and only almighty God, the King of all kings and Lord of all lords.

1 Timothy 6:15 NLT
