The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.

One of the amazing things about God that blows my mind is that He can maintain a close, intimate relationship with every living thing all at the same time. God is everywhere. God is all-knowing. God is all-powerful. There is no greater comfort than knowing God, having a personal relationship with Him.
This morning, I woke up early and was feeling anxious. I wasn’t sure why. I put on some worship music and made breakfast. Then, at 8 am, my phone reminded me to pray for my friends and associates. After a short time of heartfelt prayer for the people the Lord has brought into my life recently, I felt better. Then, He told me to read Psalm 37.
I must confess I take in too much worldly news for my own good. They usually only talk about all the terrible things that are happening. That’s when I need to read some real truth. The written Word of God renews our minds. Psalm 37 is a great reminder that God is in control. We need only to keep chasing after Him and not worry about a thing. He loves us. He cares for us. He has a plan and a purpose. We can trust His plan.
I encourage you to slow down and unplug from the world regularly. We are in the world but not of the world. We are change agents. We need to be constantly refreshing ourselves in God’s Presence with God’s Word and Spirit. There’s no rush. You can take a Sabbath rest. God’s got this.
What is our responsibility? To obey God, to live in the moment. He will accomplish His purpose for you. We are responsible for our obedience, the results are in His hands.
Father in Heaven, sanctify our wills. Let us have Your heart towards humanity. Let us be conformed to Your ways of love and peace, mercy and kindness. Fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit today. Wash away all our concerns, fears and worries. We place our trust fully in You. Be our King today, in Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
The Lord rescues the godly; he is their fortress in times of trouble. The Lord helps them, rescuing them from the wicked. He saves them, and they find shelter in him.
