Suit Up & Show Up

For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

Galatians 3:27 NASB2020

The fellowship of the saints is a sacred opportunity to be the Body that ministers to itself.

Whether you gather in a cathedral, a temple, a warehouse, a home, a coffee shop or under a tree, the important thing is that you gather.

The time and place are matters of convenience and tradition, not doctrine. Be present with each other in the Name of Christ. That’s where ministry happens.

We are to clothe ourselves in Christ. To see us should remind others of the heart of God. Some of us are hurting. Some of us are rejoicing. Some of us have a word from God. Some of us need to hear it.

The beauty of being a believer is that you are no longer alone. God’s Spirit is always in you. And God’s people share that same Spirit with you. It may take awhile to learn to trust again if you’ve been betrayed by religious hypocrites or toxic people, but don’t neglect gathering with other believers.

The fellowship of the saints, ministering to one another, speaking the truth in love, builds up and matures the Body of Christ, until we all measure up to the standard, which is Christ. This is God’s way. Practice the way faithfully. Someone needs you today to suit up and show up and share the love of Christ with them.

Be the Body.

Let’s hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let’s consider how to encourage one another in love and good deeds, not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Hebrews 10:23‭-‬25 NASB2020
